Design
The first thing that will get you about Oppo R17 Pro is its design. It might look similar, as a lot of people said that its design just looks like OnePlus 6T.
The R17 Pro is available in two colors - Emerald Green and Radiant Mist. The design of the Oppo R17 Pro is minimal and looks great. The phone has curved edges which feels the phone very light.
The volume and power buttons are well within the reach of the finger and thumb. Although, holding a 3,700mAh battery the phone is pretty lightweight. The bottom part of the phone has a speaker grille, a Type-C port, and with a SIM stray which can hold two SIM cards. The phone does not support 3.5mm headphone jack.
Display
The phone comes with the 6.4-inches Waterdrop AMOLED display. Looking at the phone the notch is small and droplet-shaped. The notch is just big enough to fix a selfie camera.
The phone has a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio which looks impressive. The display panel offers an FHD+ with 2340x1080 resolution.
It has a great display to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube.
Camera
Oppo R17 comes with `the triple rear camera. There is a 12MP primary camera, 20MP wide-angle camera and other is for TOF 3D depth-sensing camera. The TOF camera can't be used right now, but Oppo will release this update in the coming updates.
The camera has the settings to switch between f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture that the Company calls the Smart Aperture. It easy to shoot in daylight as well as a nightlight.
The camera on the R17 Pro is quite excellent in, most lighting conditions. The photos captured in daylight are crisp and detailed. Low-light performance is quite stunning.

Battery
Oppo R17 Pro supports Oppo's new SuperVOOC flash charge. The phone can charge 0% to 100% is less than 40 minutes. The phone supports 50W fast charging. The battery is of the phone supports 3700 mAh that is of a bi-cell battery which splits into 1850mAh each.
This is so that each battery charges at a 25W output. The terrific fast charging makes the average battery life. The standby time of the phone isn't great, as in the night the battery will reduce to 10%.
Performance
Oppo R17 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s capable of Snapdragon 710 processor with 8GB of RAM. The phone does heat up after long sessions of use, which is quite common for phones with glass back panels. The SuperVooc fast charger is pretty cool.
The charger adds about 40% of charge in just 10 minutes – making it one of the fastest chargers out there. With light to medium usage, you can get more life from the battery.
Verdict
The Oppo R17 Pro is a very attractive phone not just for its catchy design, but also for its waterdrop notch display, fast performance, great camera, and the SuperVOOC fast charger.
The Oppo R17 is more expensive than the OnePlus 6T that gets a Snapdragon 845 chipset. It is far more expensive than the Nokia 8.1 which gets a similar Snapdragon 710 chipset and offers a better Android experience.
The R17 Pro for all its beauty and power may not be the phone for everyone.
