The new GoPro Hero 7 is here with the new live streaming feature and gimbal-like smooth stabilization.
Last year, Hero 6 had launched with common features like other GoPro. After getting a good response from this GoPro Hero 6, the company has now launched this Hero 7.
Design
The GoPro Hero 7 looks as same as the 2017's Hero 6. The company had made some changes in the new GoPro. As it comes with the traditional GoPro black color, which gives premium look to this GoPro Hero 7. The GoPro is as small as it can be easily carried at anyplace.
The Hero 7 has a rubbery finish and with a waterproofing system up to 10 meters. There is a 2-inch touchscreen display, which is slightly bigger than Hero 6. On the side of the camera, there are buttons for turn on and off buttons.
The reality is that the camera is small will always present some issues and this is still much easier to use than other action cameras we have tested till now.
Performance
The new feature in this Hero 7 is the company calls Hypersmooth stabilization. Hero 7 can record 4K/60fps easily. There are four more improvements made in comparison of GoPro Hero 6, that it can capture better quality timelapse 'TimeWrap'. Another feature improved is 'super-auto' auto mode can click best quality photos on this Hero 7.
The microphone of the camera has been improved as mic as the mic is been redesigned in the camera. And lastly, Hero 7 is then you can now live stream via your smartphone to Facebook but you can soon live stream from Youtube, Instagram, etc.
It is really impressive and the best electronic video stabilization (EVS) you will find on an action camera.
Time Warp, Audio & Livestreaming
So here we come about the main new features of this Hero 7. TimeWrap is a new time-lapse shooting mode which feature is an excellent as compare to the Hero 6 time-lapse mode.
Usually, normal cameras can shoot the best camera when it is still but this TimeWrap feature in GoPro Hero 7 can easily speed up the camera and good journey like bike rides. The company is working on to share the timelapse on Instagram stories.
Change in quality improves the voice quality for the person. Now while riding the bike it is not required to use a different microphone to be attached. GoPro Hero 7 newly introduces the live streaming option on Facebook with this Hero 7. You just have to connect GoPro Hero 7 and your phone to the same WiFi. The live streaming will be easily done on 60fps.
Video and Audio Quality
As we come to know the video and image quality of this GoPro Hero 7, the company have launched their best camera for capturing and recording. The photo comes with the rich colors, but sometimes in the summertime, the camera gives the warmer photos.
The camera has 1/2.3-inch sensor cameras for the rich clour photos. Sometimes in low light, the image quality gets down to due to less light. While recording the camera an goes up to 4K quality in 240fps, which is the best quality recording GoPro ever have.
Battery
When we came to the battery life of this GoPro Hero 7 there is the different option of drainage of battery.
If you are recording on 1080p/30fps the camera can last up to 1hr 45mins, which is the good battery life as compared to other action cameras. If you are recording in 4k/60fps then the battery last up to 45mins of usage. But while clicking photographs the battery life will last up to 35mins only and sometimes the camera gets overheated.
Verdict
It can only be a relatively small step forward from its predecessor, but the Hero 7 Black’s excellent video quality, stabilization, usability and range of mounts make it the best all-around action camera you can buy.
